this is just so funny, I think I heard my dad say that a couple times when I was younger, he used the term for when he was in the navy and he was talking about all the lose ladies that would wait for the ships to come in. Penny

I just found the cutest pattern on allpeoplequilt.com for a "Spring Flowers Wall Hanging" that was inspired by Mary Lou Weidman's design "It's a Riot" and it features hoochy corners. The pattern directions explain how to use this technique. Check it out here:
