Did you ever find a picture? This idea would be PERFECT for my mother's/grandmother's/Greatgrandmother's hankies. Totally fitting!

I have a series of wall hangings that use a dinner napkin for the "tablecloth". You could size it down to use the hankies. You cut the napkin on the diagonal and sew it between the wall paper and the table fabrics and then when you put the borders on you have to be careful so it doesn't get caught in the seam on the bottom edge.

I made lavender sachets. Fold hankie in half and then half again. (wrong sides together) Sew around use 1/2 inch to 1 inch border. Leave an opening to put in lavender. Sew closed. I made one for everyone in the family including in-laws for Christmas. A nice way to use the hankie and a small remembrance of my Mom. I found the directions on skiptomylou website.

Lucky you! I just LOVE vintage hankies! So dainty!

Just the other day I saw a tutorial for making a baby quilt out of hankies. I may even have the pattern saved as a .pdf file. It was super cute!

Kaffe Fasset has some patterns for handkerchief quilts in his books, you could possibly borrow them from a library.
