I make a lot of hot pads from extra blocks, left over fabrics, etc. Use them to bind these, seems I can always find one that fits, color wise. I cut mine on the bias so there are few options.

KS Quilter - you beat me to it. When we visited my in-laws last weekend my wife burned her finger pulling something out of the oven with the one pitiful potholder her mom had. We decided we could make some potholders and send them to her. We have pieced several together with scraps from our most recent projects, and I finished one today using leftover binding from one of the quilts. The potholders are a great way to use scraps of all kinds - blocks, partial blocks, batting, and binding.
