I used Minky to back the quilt in my avatar for a friend after surgery. It was warm and snuggly and so soft I had a hard time giving it away after I finished!! I basted it a lot before quilting, immediately did the wrap around binding method (because of the lint that it gives off after cutting) and it wasn't a problem to stitch in the ditch :) I'd do it again in a minute!

I saw a rag quilt made out of minkee and it turned out awesome. Really soft! I personally have not used minkee yet but would love to use it as backing on a quilt for my DGD.

Wow, the photo looks very soft and cuddly, great photo (work) on your quilt.

my former boss had breast cancer I made her a quilt using minke as the backing so it would be soft against her skin. She passed away laying under this blanket and then her mother took the blanket to her nursing home and sleeps with it.

I just quilted two swap block quilts, Chocolate/Raspberry and both with minkie. I was so nervous but they came out wonderful. NO problems at all. I asked about using it too before I made the leap. There is a nap so be sure to check that before you start. The quilting shows up nicely. If you would like for me to post pictures on this thread please let me know.
