DH picked out a fleece panel about throw size. It has one large angel and blue backround. I got a cloud fleece for the back, but now what?

I have seen the "quick quilts" that are fringed and tied all the way around the edges, but I don't care for all that fringe. I also don't think it probably needs batting, but not sure.

How would you put this together? Quilt? If it has no batting, would just outlining the angel be enough?
Seems like it should be pretty simple since there's no real cutting and I would like to get it done by his birthday Nov 5.

Looking for any suggestions - Thanks in advance

When I do buy a piece like that, I just turn the edge over and button hole stitch around the edge. They are very warm with just the one layer. I have been able to do one in a days time.

That works, or if you want the double layer just do it pillowcase style (right sides together, stitch the edges except for a few inches, turn right side out and slipstitch the edge). You would need to quilt it slightly to keep the layers in place. Maybe go around the angel, then crossgrid outside of the angel?
