Last year I bought a few huge tubs of fabric for 50 off a lady on craigs list. The fabric was mostly beautiful and I love it. But what do I do with the ugly fabric. There is a little of the fabric that I wouldn't call attractive. What would you do with it? I love scrap quilts but can you add ugly fabric in and still have a beautiful quilt?

Carrie, that's so funny. Today I pulled out some fabric, have no idea how or when I got it. It is UGLY!! Looks like camoflage fabric for gnomes!!! I paired it with some pale yellow and made a maple leaf and it looks great! Try pairing your uglies with something or use them as backing on a table runner (no one sees them).
    Good luck!

cut the uglies up for foundation pieces when you do scrappy quilt blocks.....you might not need to add batting!!

donate it....one mans ugly is another mans pretty!!

swap with someone...you may think it's ugly but someone else might just love it...or donate it to a Senior Ctr for their crafts.

Sometimes the ugliest fabric makes the most gorgeous quilts. I'm trying very hard to us up my stash and I really had some fabric gut-wrenchers in the closet. I just figured I had nothing to loose and put them together with some black fabric and I really liked how they turned out. So, just jump in and have a good time with it.
