    your quilt is beautiful craftybear. I gotta get off here cuz it's late and I have to get up early for work in the morning and looking at the ideas you guys are giving me is making me want to pull out my sewing machine and fabric and start in on a quilt right now lol.     Trip around the World could work... I bought a charm pack of 170 5" blocks at WM and made this pattern

    That's exactly what I was going to suggest, pinwheels!!! Or wait until Feb. 1st and I think we might be having a pinwheel challenge to participate in. We get to keep the quilt that we make. I think brushandthimble posted something about it a couple of days ago, but I may be mistaken.

    I've just completed 2 Trip Around the World quilts. This is a wonderful suggestion & very easy. I'm pleased with how each one turned out.I'm sure you would be as well.

    I would also recommend this pattern. I am also a new quilter and have made three using it and they turned out great. They are also easy to SITD if you aren't comfortable with FMQ. Good luck to you!
