Thanks for your suggestions. I've always loved Jinny Beyer patterns but never tried one! Wasn't thinking of using both fabrics in the same project but I'm rethinking that too!

I LOVE these fabrics, but I agree, they can be a challenge to use. I saw a quilt at a local show recently that was Judy Niemeyer's "Hosta" pattern, done in some of these exact same fabrics, and it was amazing. Really busy and intense, but gorgeous. I wish I had a picture to share!

I have that bottom striped fabric. I thought it was gorgeous too; and I too have not cut it up. But here is a Jenny Doan idea. Although I'm not sure you have enough of the striped fabric to try it. Show us what you come up with.

WOW! The stripes scream to me a kalidescope (sp?). My first thought for the print was to cut thru the reddish circles and highlight the center square with the blue ornament. This looks like it would be an 18" square. I would probably border each square with a black, then a color (whatever you wanted to feature, blue or gold). Then connect the squares with a wider black sashing. I'm not sure I would want to add any other prints because this fabric is stunning and has so much in it. 2 across and 3 down could end up with a top about 60" x 80" ish.
