    Exactly what I do.

I use a container similar to what tiers have mentioned. I also throw my dull sewing machine needles & stick pins in there. Simply toss it in the garbage when full.

Mine go into an Ice Breakers mint container. I have relabeled it so no visitors get a surprise if they saw it and decided they want a mint.

I used to use powdered creamer in my morning coffee. I had plenty of the empty plastic containers that the creamer came in, and I use those to put my used rotary blades and pins and needles in. The lid has a pouring spout that I can open and close for the pins and needles, and I can unscrew the lid for the blades. I have them marked in magic marker, and I will make sure they are taped super well when I toss them....there are about 3 in use right now, as my DH has one in his hobby room also for craft blades. From the dust on the lid of the last one, you can tell that it's been in use for quite a while.

My daughter bought a container of chewing gum that is a perfect size to discard blades , needles and pins. I keep it near the sewing machine , when full I dispose of it in the trash....I know....filling the landfill with items that stay forever. I do not know what else to do with them!

I like Cindi's idea of the Parmesan cheese shaker and it's time to buy a new cheese shaker anyway! Thanks.

Same and will probably last for ages before it's full! Make sure you mark on the bottle what's inside before you chunk it..

I put the blade back in the yellow case and mark it used.

Don't we all wish that a company would come up with a device that actually sharpens old blades so that we could reuse them for fabric??
