It did the trick, making the table high enough for cutting without making it awkward. Much cheaper than an actual cutting table!
I have the same grey table from Lowes. I bought those hard plastic bed risers to rise it up to my length.

I purchased a hobby table with leaves folding down and drawers at Hancock's on sale for $130. After putting it together, I am very pleased with it. It says in the directions it takes 3 hrs to put it together, and, not being very mechanically minded, it took me every bit of that. It doesn't take up much space when I store it. The price at Joann's was $150 no drawers. I do love that you can roll it where you need it and there are 2 locking casters to keep it stationery. I want to use it for cutting out clothing and also quilting.
