    My old Singer is built into a desk, so I hung a plastic Kool-Aid container off the side of the desk with a wire handle that I fashioned and tied it onto the machine with a length of selvage. It is hung low enough so that the thread comes off the cone easily, up to the spool pin and then on to the needle. I used to set it on the floor, but with a cat around, that wouldn't work very well. LOL

    I make a bubble solution(glycern/dish soap) and let the grand kids blow bubbles. I even help them. Loads of fun..
