You could use it to make lap quilts for Alzheimer's patients, mixed with other fabrics. Touching the different textures has a calming affect for Alzheimer's patients.

I have used cordoroy to sew totes couch pillows and slippers. I have a lot of it in my stash that I got from my Mom and Grandma.

When I was in Norway last summer, I saw a beautiful Log Cabin quilt done entirely in corduroy fabrics.

I would suggest pillows, applique, stuffed animals or totes.

I made a "brick" quilt for my neighbor using flannels and cordoroy. the top was quite heavy so I used a thin old blanket for the batting and a piece of regualar cotton for the backing. It looks really pretty and it's super soft and warm for those cold winter nights. His wife is getting one with a thicker flannel middle which seems warmer to me. Maybe it's just because I'm hand quilting that one.

I sewed pieces of leftover corduroy together, enough to make the backing for some drapes I didn't need, nothing inside. Made a perfect quilt to put on the grass to watch the fireworks or for a picnic.
Have cut squares of it for a quilt top and used drapery samples for the backing with a light batt inside.
Will never wear out, whatever you do with corduroy.

You could make a throw, no batting, with cotton fabric or flannel on the back. Corduroy is fun to work with because of the nap. You can just cut the pieces with the nap running different ways and it will look like you used different shades of the same fabric!

I have plenty of corduroy but suggest you think in this direction in using yours.
I watched Sewing With Nancy a few days ago, she was constructing a quilt in columns, rather than blocks. She commented that the way she was incorporating doubled, folded fabric, and adding corduroy and satin, would be a way to make it interesting for kids

I make jeans quilts and like to use the heavy corduroy with the used jeans cut into blocks. Gives them a nice joyful color.
