What do you do with Cordoroy fabric?

Thank you guys so much, there is so much to consider. I have always wanted to make a shadow quilt (amish) and maybe use the black cordoroy as the shadow and bright colored cottons as the other triangle. I just didn't know how it would react to cotton along side of it.

When my children were young, I bought a large lot of cordoury remnants to make pants. I didn't us them all up before they grew too big for the pieces I had. I gave them to my friend whose children were younger than mine. She used them to make a King's Crown quilt that is beautiful. thirty some years later, it is still going strong.

Use it to make a tactile quilt - many babies and children love to explore the different materials in a tactile quilt and some children with disabilities can really benefit from this kind of quilt. My DGD loves to explore the different materials in a quilt, even if she is just checking out the different patterns in the materials I used.

I have a cordory scrap quilt my Mom made years ago, a little worn, but in pretty good shape, so it is durable. A little heavier than the cotton ones, but I like that sometimes. I think I also read here that weight is sometimes used for comfort quilts for frieghtened children and animals.
