Cut the outside block pieces 1" larger and then square up the block to the correct unfinished size. If in a pinch and no set block pattern is required I'd add sashing around the block to make it bigger.

If you can, move your needle to the right one or two clicks. I finally got it right when I did that because even with the 1/4 foot I was off. I still end up redoing for swaps tho as I want it to be correct for them.

Well I cut the pieces out again and used my walking foot (I love that foot and it is a scant 1/4) Still came out wrong, so I clicked the needle to the right twice and it came out perfect! Thanks for all the suggestions :)
