Just sit and browse through all my quilt books til I see something that "speaks" to me. We all go through the doldrums now and then, but we always pop out again eventually...

I always have a few easy to stitch Community Quilts (the ones my guild gives away) cut out and ready to go. Working on a simple crib or child's quilt for a while is a good use of my time and I can think and plan my own quilts while I stitch one for someone else. An evening will easily finish one of the "Downey Quilts for Kids" and by the time the top is done, I'm usually ready to move on with my own stuff.

I've been trying to work through burn-out on a jewel box quilt for DH. I told him yesterday that it is for him. He asked if it would be finished by Christmas. LOL!! The other day we spent time with friends & I asked him to show it to them while I gathered our stuff to leave. He was so proud of it & was telling them all about how I was going to quilt it. Really made me happy that it's for him!!
