Like it says... what do you do with the blocks you have "left over"? I have tons of blocks that were either samples, left over from projects when I misjudge how many I need, saved from trades... just blocks from all sorts of sources -- all styles, sizes, & colors. What do you do with yours?

I'd make a scrappy quilt, I've seen some and they are wonderful.

I've seen people using them to make pot holders, tote bags, purses, and any other small item. You could make table runners, and a scrap quilt is a good idea. Show us what you do with them.

I would see if I could coordinate them together somehow and make a quilt to donate to charity.

I saw where they put them on mounting board, framed them and hung them as art. Make I to quilt and use a headboard. Think I saw the ideas on all people quilt or something like that

My orphans are kept in an "orphanage" pizza box. I get them out every once in a while and try to put them together for a donation quilt. They look hideous together. All the blocks are very nice by themselves but all the different sizes and colours do not play well together. They are back in their orphanage waiting for inspiration to strike or for them to go to the charilty shop after I'm gone. Whichever comes first.

There are no "orphans" in The American Veteran Project.

There is a Loving Veteran waiting to love any and all "orphans" I accept all donations of orphan blocks, etc to be adopted by a lonely Veteran.
    PM for donation address
