I can hear the tv on in the living room, but I mostly just want to hear my machine.

I put dvds of old movies and miniseries on the TV. I have seen or heard them so often I can just play along....I need the noise, love the old stuff but don't have to watch to enjoy it.

I listen to So. Gospel music also have the Bible on cassette and sometimes to recorded sermons so enjoy any of them. If I start something like that I sew longer than if I can hear all the reminders around that there are other things going on instead of just my sewing.

I semi-watch some of the TV shows I have recorded - or listen to music on my IPod... it has everything from classical to hard rock and I usually just put it on shuffle.
