    It is a great idea... kind of bigger than a coaster, but smaller than a placemat!

    I was making mine 6"x6" but the binding was so hard to do I now make them around 7"x7"

    Hello all, Love mug rugs, I want to make a couple for my daughter, do you put batting in the middle?
    And sorry to sound dumb, but what is Flickr? And do you use bias tape on the edges?
    I think my daughter would love one for the office, she loves browns and creams so I have to find a pattern
    to use those colors. Love help and advice :-) Rachel

    I like 5 in square, they take up little room, I find any thing larger just takes up too much space.

    If you are putting them on the dinner table for a special meal how about doing something different. Make them round, then it'll be like the saucer for the cup.

    Made with remnants, Warm and Natural batting, size varies from 6 x 7 to 7 x 9".
