What do you think of "Connecting Thread's" thread?

I like it. I don't find it lintier than any other brand of cotton out there and I use gutterman and mettler as well. I have a brother and a babylock and they don't mind what threads I throw at them. Some machines are fussy about thread which I am still not sure why. If I pay hundreds of dollars for a machine it better use what thread I want it to use.

I love CT threads - I keep thinking I have all the colors and then they come out with more!
I like the polyester CT PRO, too - it's on the fine side, a little bigger than Bottom Line. Bottom Line is shiny, PRO is matte. PRO costs much less than the Bottom Line. They're both good strong threads though and I use them in the needle as well as the bobbin. I piece and quilt with it, but if I remember correctly, it's difficult for hand sewing - although it looks beautiful and melts right into the applique, it tangles terribly!
Their regular 50wt 3-ply Essentials is great. I don't think the lint it produces is much of a problem and the colors are just delicious! I use it for everything - piecing, quilting, garment sewing.

I use their cotton thread almost exclusively for piecing and quilting. My machines are Pfaff and I use a Viking Mega quilter. I had one spool that had a knot in it, but I've found that in other brands also.

It's so cheap, just buy a spool or two and give it a shot!
That's what I did, and I like it quite a bit. Yes, it's lintier than Aurifil, and thicker, but you really can't beat the price and color selection. I love Aurifil (and how much fits on a bobbin!) but it's so expensive that lately I've been reserving it for piecing and using the (cheaper, thicker) CT thread for quilting and sewing on the binding and I'm quite happy with that compromise. At least half or more of my quilts are backed in flannel so I'm used to cleaning my machine regularly; I don't need to clean it out any more often with CT thread than I would have to anyway. It's not THAT linty.
When I bought my machine, my dealer recommended Robison-Anton thread and my machine came with a bunch of it...I think CT's thread is smoother and less linty than the R-A thread. I haven't used Gutterman (sp?) so I can't compare that one.
I'm waiting for CT to have a sale and then I plan on stocking up on a whole rainbow's worth.
