    Using panels as/within quilts.

Fine by me.... there are some beautiful and whimsical panels out there. To each his/her own! ;-)

    Losing "regular" status.

My 90 year old Grand Aunt who is still quilting away, suggests you do it the way YOU like.

I don't know at all what you mean about controversy about this...Guess I am too new to the board. However, I would love to be involved in a group that works on this quilt!...So, if in the future there is a new quilt along started, please count me in!!

I think I'm having an 'out of topic' experience!

I agree that the art quilts versus trad quilts is a biggy. I would also add debates over 'history' versus myth, such as the Underground Railroad debate recently and the Amish deliberate mistake thing - true or not true?

And this topic is in danger of opening up a bazillion cans of worms!

    1. Machine v. Hand-quilting
    2. Wash or don't wash
    3. The correct way to fix the original poster's problem, regardless of whether or not the problem has already been fixed by the board member you are disagreeing with.
    4. Feathers!

I don't mind the controversial topics, though. I like to sit and read them and make cat-fighting noises. :D
