    I like the circle best. It is a beautiful quilt and your granddaughter will surely love it regardless of how it is quilted. :)

    Both are beautiful but I agree about the circle. Those look like the Candlewicking templates I used to use long time ago.

    May I ask you a question? I am totally new at quilting... Where do you buy those templates and are they use for quilting with a sewing machine and if it is what kind of foot?? You did a real good job I think I prefer the heart template.. Thanks for any help :-)

    you can buy the templates at most anyplace that sells fabric or quilting supplies, there are a lot on the internet you can purchase, yes you have to use FMQ when doing them, so you would need to know how to do FMQ using a darning foot or FMQ foot with the feed dogs dropped, you could also draw your own pattern

    Thanks for the help! I will take a look at JoAnn Fabric..Hopefully I will start to do something.. I have so much a hard time to convince myself that I can do it.. I am learning so much here!! I guess it is time now to just do it... :-D

    I think I like the circle better. If the size works out, maybe a heart right in the middle?

    I vote circle. I find the heart a little busy with all the angles in the piecing. Lovely quilt!
