I use a patio block. The weight keeps it in place and I need it to raise my feet to a comfortable height.

For my Janome, I turned the pedal upside down.

I'm with sewingsuz. A piece of shelf liner. I just cut a piece off and tossed it on the floor and put my foot pedal on top of it. It is larger than the foot pedal, but it doesn't slide on the floor and the foot pedal doesn't slide on it, so it is perfect.

Try turning it around back to front. My machine has a push button option so I don't use the pedal but I did this with my other machine and, as I recall, it worked. It came from a list of household hints I read somewhere.

I just tape mine to the floor. It never moves. Good luck!

I'm with you on this. My Singer 401 has it and I love it and miss it on my Pfaff QE4.0

I put sticky back velcro on my pedal and it velcros to the carpet. If you don't have carpet you could put two or three strips of sticky back velcro on the floor and then match the strips up to secure the foot pedal down.

I have had good luck using an old mouse pad. It sticks to the floor and I use a piece of Velcro on the top of the pad and on the foot.
