Said that I would take one of their hand-me-downs as long as it still worked. I doubt that will happen either.

If you kids know what you want they should go in together and get it for you. I'm sure you have given them many things they have wanted over the years. I'll keep good thoughts coming your way for you to be surprised!

Those magnetic picker uppers are great. Especially when you dump the whole container of pins on the floor. A hardware store or auto parts store would have them. They expand like an aerial. The mechanics use them to pick up the small little parts they drop. LOL

My husband made me a long handled pin picker upper. He used a long fat dowel and attached a magnet on one end.

I would like a stocking full of consumables: Needles, rotary blades, seam rippers, M&M's...
I really need a new cutting mat and I'd love to get the new Brother 6x10 embroidery only machine or the Pfaff Performance 5.0. I'll get the mat.

Ditto on the gift card idea...but make the presentation fun by making a fabric gift bag and put in a fat quarter of her favorite color or a sewing notion.

They also have them at WalMart in the hardware department. I keep a telescoping one in my quilting go kit.

I bought myself a new Janome New Home for my birthday this month. Next on my list are EQ7 and a small laptop for use only in my quilt room and for quilt related classes.
