Don't back down. This is a VERY reasonable price for that size.

Ditto, especially for a King Size!

sometimes you miss buyers because you under price your item and potential buyers think it is (cheaply made)
there is a site on line called
    quilts for sale
they are very reasonable with their commission fees and seem to sell lots of quilts, check them out as a possible market.
also,,now i cant remember which major shop it is (maybe keepsake quilting)n that is offering a selling your quilt feature.
post pictures everywhere you can, exposure will get you noticed and the person just right for the quilt will see it, love it, and pay good money for it as long as it is well made.
    good luck
i wouldn't even talk to someone about a king size quilt starting at less than $500 and that is bare minimum because it was made with discount fabrics an easy pattern and i like the person getting it .(normal going price for me to make a king is $1200+.

That is way to low. You should figure in at least 3 to 5 times more than your actual expenses and certainly if a king size 5 times which based on you cost should be sold for at least $1000 and not less than $800.00

I am trying out QuiltsforSale and will let everyone know if it works for me. They do seem to sell a lot of quilts, you can see them on the "sold" pages.
I checked out another selling website, they would not reveal how many quilts they had sold. NOt doing business with them.

i agree that price for a king is very low so price is not the problem.

it could be that not many people have a King size bed and also the color scheme might not match what many adults would have in their bedroom.

Something to think about. Alot of people can not afford a $300.00 quilt. They are they us that would make their own. That being said there are alot of people that can afford anything and they would not buy a $300.00 quilt. Too cheap they would buy a $800.00 to $1200.00 quilt in a heart beat. You can price quailty too low you have to find the right person with those colors with that money. Everything is taking longer to move in this market. Don't sell yourself short and hit every market you can. Everything will sell at some price given time. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

    check out the site...
    quilts for sale

they are based in Canada but have many US quilters.
    or Etsy is another place.

i would think the price on that quilt is way too low! sometimes people will not pay it if they think its too low too...they think they are getting crap.

for a quilt with that investment- and that size i would not offer it anywhere below $750===and would probably start quite a bit higher than that.
