Mine says I'd darned well better live to be 200 to use up all the fabric I have! (But of course, I'm always buying more!)

Mine are supportive and love it! Prodigal Son (20 y.o.) always shows friends my studio when they come over. He always makes the same remark, "She is really good at it. I make sure I get the ones I like now, before my brother and sisters see them." It's pretty awesome. Hubs is always telling people about them and quite frequently says, "Can you e-mail me a pic of suchandsuch quilt....soandso wants to see it." Makes me feel appreciated! :)

My MIL and SIL will say loudly to each other when I show them quilts I have finished-I guess we have to have a baby to get a quilt! it kind of hurts my feelings especially when my DH and one of my daughters hadn't gotten one yet. Then when I got my new Janome for Christmas, my SIL said maybe we'll get a quilt now! You know, it's not that I don't want to make them one, it's more their attitude and the fact that I'vehad other things first. I want to make one because I want to, not because someone thinks they're owed one. Everyone else seems to support me.

Actually, I don't show the in laws my quilts anymore because of this. My MIL didsaythe other day that my quilts were nicer than the ones her friends make. My DH. Says tojustmake them one so they will shut up about it. After the MILcomment, I better make sure that I do a good job on it!

All of my family is very supportive and complimentary. I made a Quilt of Valor and I told my FIL about it. He couldn't tell me enough how proud he was of me to make this quilt. My father was the same way. Both of them were in the military during WW2. I gave my nephew a quilt as a wedding gift. It had been a quilt top that my mother had crossed stitched. I took all the blocks, cut them down, sashed and put in cornerstones then had it quilted. It actually brought tears to my nephews eyes since he has watched his grandma make each one of those blocks. He has something of hers and something from me.

Mine are very supportive, the last quilt I made, my DH said "I'm very proud of that bargello you just made, and you should be proud of it too" That really stoked me.
