Boy! I need to re-think my stash. I just recently had to move my fabric out of my sewing room to make room for my grandson and put 40 bins of fabric in the garage.....of course it is organized so i can go play when I want too.....but maybe I should think about not buying anymore for awhile.

luvtooquilt; OMGosh. I'm speechless. I am so saving this picture to show my fam who think I have way too much fabric. Great stash. I'm green with envy.

I have a china cabinet with three shelves about 1/2 full on each shelf - very messy at the moment! I have shoe boxes full of less than a yard fabric and four various size clear boxed containers with less than a yard fabric in them. I have a decent size stash and add to it frequently

I have been quilting for 17 years and my fabric takes up one half of a built in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. I also have a plastic container for every unfinished project, there are 12 of those lol
I started collecting fabric that I liked if I saw it. Then I started buying things like jelly rolls and layer cakes. Now I see I have not used a lot of those. I have recently started to buy fabric when I am about to start a new project after I have gathered some suitable fabric from my cupboard. But I never seem to have just the right colour for the project I'm working on so there is always a trip to the shop at some point lol.

Right now after finishing a scrap quilt for my sister my stash resembles a trash bin collection after a bomb attack. I have two options: to clean up and re-organize or go to town and visit my favorite fabric store as I was paid today. I'm going to check the bus schedule right now..

Lucky to have a gallon size bag of scraps.

But love to seeing all your stashes.

Most of my fabric stash is in a medium size two door armoire. It is full but I could stuff more in gently if I needed to. I also have two three drawer bins which hold a few premade quilt kits that I put together. Then I have a closet organizer which stores all of my batik fabrics
