P.S. to my reply above. I told my husband what I'd written and he said "What about the runner?". Completely forgot - I made two runners from MSQ's Friendship Braid Runner tutorial. I did one in random batiks with forest green borders, the other in fruit & vegetable fabrics, each row using the same fabric right side and left side. I'm very happy with both. Easy and fun to do. Next I'm going to make some with Christmas fabrics. It's been too cold and icy to go out very often (DH uses a transport chair or a walker) and I'm happy there's something I love to do which makes staying in just fine with me and he has his sports and financial channels to keep him out of trouble.

Started my first Blog (on this site, if anyone is interested). Just started a BOM with a local quilt shop, and have completed February's block in shop fabrics and in alternate. Was so inspired by the block (a simple Friendship Star) that I am working on a quilt using fabrics from my stash using just the FS blocks.
Also working on hand-quilting a "Twisted Sudoku" wall hanging. Love the inspiration and support this site provides! It is like we get to chat with HUNDREDS of friends any time we want! =)

I am now going through a 40 year collection of fabric, washing and organizing it. Was just going to organize, but after making a couple of projects and having them fade, I decided to just wash it all as I go. Figure it will take a couple of months at that rate, but it's my own fault. Do not need to ever buy fabric again (ha ha) at least none unless needed for a special project.

Needed a break from my queen-sized quilt I'm working on. So I found this cute zipper bag and made one. The left bottom corner needs some work - could not get it to miter right. It was a fun diversion. It has vinyl on the front so the lining shows through.

I am working on my first stack and whack, I love how each plate comes out different from any other. I have made 32 plates and they are all different. Now I am working on the corner stones between the sashing and they are taking longer than the plates. The pattern I am using is called "Spin Cycle" by Bethany Reynolds. Here is a picture of some of the squares.

I'm trying to gear myself up to get back to quilting after all the projects, quilting, etc., including a full size pieced and appliqued full size quilt for our DGD for Christmas, so I got a little burned out. However, seeing the joy on Zoe's face when she saw her quilt was worth all the work that went into it - had to take a hiatus after finishing the top for rotator cuff surgery, so I just finished it before going over to my DS's, DDIL's and DGD's house Christmas Eve. Fortunately, there was time for my son to throw it into the washing machine and dryer to get rid of any car fur (my son is allergic), so it was her last present; although she did ask if there were any more presents to open. LOL. Hey, she's 3 1/2 years old.
