I am starting on mine today that I just got the kit this week and also have contacted our Illinois chapter. I got an email from him and will be calling him tonight to discuss it further. It makes me feel great that I am helping making someone's life more pleasing.

I love QFK! When I first began making them, I started a scrapbook and it is so fun & inspiring to look back. Their kits are so adorable, fun and SO EASY! I have another ready to mail today. I like to use their 4 patch or 9 patch instruction sheet & make my own kits from my stash. Put them in a gallon zip lock and when I want to sew, they are quick & easy! Such an incredible organization that brings smiles to so many little faces ... and we can help!

I am so glad you posted this. I have been doing the QFK program for almost 2 years now. Probably about 15 or so quilts. But anyway, it feels so good to know that the program has also helped someone's family on this board. Prayers for your daughter

So fellow quilters this was a great chance to see our efforts put to work. I think we should all give ourselves a pat on the backs for being so generous.

P.s. The nurse insisted I take one for my daughter since she would appreciate it even more. Which she did

This brings tears to my eyes. May your daughter have a speedy recovery. I make quilts for kids, too. It's wonderful to hear how they are used and appreciated.
