    Happy Birthday to You!!!!!

Enjoy the day - and take your time "test driving" and researching machines, before you buy. Sorry I can't recommend one....

IF you have any in mind that your really interested in here is a great link to some reviews.

    http://sewing.patternreview.com/SewingMachine/Reviews

When I was looking, I had several machines in mind, so I checked here on these boards, and at Pattern Review. It gave me a good way of narrowing it down.

    Hope this helps.

Because it is computerized, it's basically push a button, then let it stitch and when it beaps at you change the thread color and push the button again.

But I don't use my embroidery much just because it's my main sewing machine and don't want to tie up my machine embroidering when I can be sewing.

Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you....

Good for a Pfaff or Baby Lock. Give them a test run and go with what you like best! Have fun!

Happy Birthday! I just got the Janome 3160QDC and I love it! It's right in your price range and is a pleasure to sew on.

Have fun picking out your new baby!

Happy birthday Judy. I can't tell which is best, depending on what you want it to do. Most shops will let you test them and some also provide demonstration on how to get the most use out of your machine.
