    great idea..i ironed them flat and used them as stablizer when i was appliqueing sunflower quilt blocks..worked great and very cheap. :D

    Ok I grew up on a dairy farm too :-D . But I never learned about doll dresses from milk filter pads as we called them. (I have a couple of the milk strainers as "decorative" items.

    Great idea!!! Just make sure you remove the filter when done, I have heard that they are VERY flammable. You would not want to leave it in your project.

    I wonder if a flat filter would go through the printer or a copier so you could do some paper piecing designs? HHHhhhmmmm, I may have to try this. May have to buy the extra large restaurant sized ones or the square ones to try this.

    Oh, I used to have one in the center of my bed that my grandma made. I thought she was sooooo beautiful!

    I always wanted one, b ut can't find the filters. Herscherners use to have them but not anymore. Thanks for the memory.
