Default What happened to Warm and Natural's Warm Tater Batting?

The Warm Tater Batting which I use for the microwave suddenly disappeared. I sent an email but did not hear back. Does anyone know what happened??

They've discontinued it, but apparently Warm and Plush is the same batting. Here's their page on the subject: http://warmcompany.com/home/warm-tater/#more-109.

I suspect they were afraid of lawsuits. The tater bags can...um catch fire? I can't remember. There was something like that involved. So they are probably not recommending the batting for that anymore.

The Warm co. has discontinued it.
To many people were having problems with fires in the Microwave.
The batting was probably not the issue, but when the bags were being assembled, the thread MUST be cotton. Not cotton/polyester and the fabric must be 100% cotton with no starch or even fabric softener.
I have discontinued making them for sale. Don't need the liability. I still make the bowls that are like a pot holder...but tell customers that I don't recommend using in the microwave.

Yes, there were previous posts on this subject with a lot of interesting facts relating to the batting used in Microwave bowls. Just go and try an advance search.

It is renamed and there is no indication for microwaving as I understand it. A friend just bought some at one of our LQS's and was told this.
