What has been your experience using basting spray verses safety pins to hold your quilt together before FMQ? And is one spray better than another?

I don't FMQ but I love spray basting. I use June Taylor basting spray from Walmart, it's only about $7.00 a can.

Can you use this with the polly batting? Some sprays only seam to work with cotton batting.

I use poly/cotton and poly and I've not had any problems. Just remember to spray lightly or it becomes too sticky.

I love the basting spray to use for trapunto work on my quilts. And I LAQ or FMQ all of them. No problems.

I have the best luck with the 505 spray. I get June Taylors from Michael's when they have the 50% coupons. I tried the Sullivan's brand and it had a horrible, chemical odor that I thought would never wash out.
