What have you changed since using Quilting Board?

Honestly??? More than anything I've "changed my mind" the most. Everytime I cruise the board I change my mind about the next project I want to do. Just when I think I've picked a pattern and fabric and colors someone comes along and posts something that catches my eye and I have to start the planning process all over again. Not complaining though, it keeps my creative juices flowing and I love it. Thanks everybody for the inspiration!!!

OMGolly, those links you supplied are soooooo awsome. thank you sooooooo much. were you just being tactful, and wanting to show us new things? you are sooooo great. thank you, thank you. i had seen the board method as i was laying out my jane, but your link was super simply. and the glue method for the binding i believe is the best i've seen. could make a show quality quilt more attainable.

My life has changed because I spend at least 2 hours on the QB every day and get nothing done--not a good thing, but I am not complaining. I love the positiveness of the people here...always here when I need advice or need a friend.
I have met a friend,,,an actual real person, who lives in my small town and loves to quilt and is awesome at picking out fabrics (which is one of my downfalls). YEA FOR ME!

I've learned a lot of things about quilting and the pics of quilts are so gorgeous. I keep seeing patterns I will love to try except that I wish I would have been doing this since I was much younger so I could have made more quilts. Not to mention that everyone is so nice and helpful if you ask a ? someone will look for info for you and it sure does help. I'm making a dresden candle mat and some of the mug rugs in fall colors that I saw on here. Thank you for the leaf I've got 4 colors of three each for myself and my daughter. I need to start sewing more the holidays are coming soon. Many many thanks to everyone for their help. I'm gathering FQ for the swap. However I sprained my bad foot last Fri. and it is still bruised and sore so it has slowed me up and is so anoring. Sue

I've been a "quilter wannabe" for a few years. I bought so many books to try to learn how. I bought rulers, fabric, quilting gadgets and never cut one piece of fabric. After I discovered this board, I have learned so much and have learned enough to finally give it a try! My only regret is that I am 78 years old and worry that I won't be around long enough to truly learn and get hooked on quilting. I'm trying to get my second daughter interested in quilting along with me so she can use all of my quilting stash cnd stuff when I'm gone. She has severe depression and I think this would be good for her. She is on disability and has lots of time on her hands.
BTW - I have my mother's Singer 99 in the original cabinet. I can remember learning to sew on it and my oldest daughter who is now 57 also learned to sew on it. It was a great old machine.
The people on this board are so caring and helpful and truly make you feel welcome. They are great at encouraging someone like me also. Thanks to all of you.
