I bought a Singer 301 at a garage sale. I don't even like old stuff, only new things. I don't like garage sales, either. I've read about all the great things others find and buy, so when I saw it, I bought it. The only reason I was there to start with is because our Guild sent out an email telling about the sale.

Oh gosh...you people are terrible!!! All of you!!! Enablers....thats what this board is...just a bunch of enablers!!! You started by encouraging me to shell out for a Bernina...new rulers...new gadgets everytime I go to the LQS, and fabric...my word!!! I buy more fabric since I joined the board...I also had to go buy storage bins to hold the fabric that I bought that I didn't really need (well..other than to pet). My list of "must make" quilts is over whelming too! Yup, I'd say this board has done its job to "help with the economic recovery" effort

wow , I don't even know where to begin, I have had the most productive year of my quilting since joining this board. I have picked up loads of tips, and ideas. I have learned to PP, which I am head over heals in love with. I have spend a lot, a LOT, of money   on fabric and sewing supply's, who wouldn't with all the great links the we get. I have had the pleasure of working on 10 beautiful centers that belong to 10 wonderful quilters on this board, and have learned so much. The IRRs have helped me grow as a quilter. But, most of all are all the wonderful people that I have met, too numerous to mention. Living in the boonies, there is no one here to talk quilting with, so it is wonderful to come here and share with other quilters that speak the same language.
Thanks to the Admin and all the moderators. you do wonderful work,

Yup, I bought some books, and made a D9P, never heard of one before I came here. I will post pics of it after it is quilted.

This board has given me so much confidence and has inspired more ideas than I will ever be able to finish in my life time. I have bought fabric, template sets, fabric, patterns, fabric, a new ironing board cover, fabric, two quilt kits, fabric, rulers, fabric, steam a seam, fabric, Aunt Becky, fabric, you get the idea.

You guys are to blame for a ton of new fabric that begged to come to live at my house, a bow tucks pattern, a bunch of books, a longarm, EQ7, a jelly roll and my new plan to confiscate my daughter's room and move her into my current sewing room which is much smaller (she is away at college most of the year). You are to blame for a list of quilts to make that will never be finished, new techniques to try and a great deal of time spent drooling over quilt pictures on this site rather than actually sewing quilts on my own machine. I hold you all responsible.... and I thank you all for offering all this and more as part of this community. :D :-D

Now stop enticing me - my wallet can't take anymore. ;-)
