Not mine, but hope to make something similar in the future.

I have a lot of "corner" triangle leftovers from a 9patch/snowball table runner. Think I will make a mugrug from them.

I saved 'em all, too, and didn't have the heart to just toss 'em. Here's what I did with them.

When I use sew and trim method,I sew a second seam 1/2 in away from the first seam befor I cut it off.
That way they are already sewn together when I cut.I don't know how I would match them up after cut and set aside. They are usually so small about all I use them for is a small bag or maybe a block for something else.Don't throw them away.Use them somehow.

Added them into a border in the quilt. Jazzed it up a bit!

I don't have the patience to do a large project with them. But...you can do some small projects that won't drive you crazy, like pincushions, cosmetic pouches, tissue covers, mugrugs or coasters. Add some Christmas colors and make ornaments or a tree skirt.

I made some placemats with mine - put them in a barn raising pattern. They are great

I sew my trimmings together right away so I don't have to figure out which ones fit together later. But I wait to trim them into a square until I'm putting them in a project, so they are all trimmed to the correct size for that project. I find I am more accurate with flying geese blocks if I start with a rectangle the size of the finished flying geese block and sew on the squares and trim. I don't feel I am wasting the fabric, as I have the part I trim off all sewn for a 1/2 sq. triangle project later. I love scrappy quilts, so this just gets my juices flowing fun projects with scrappy 1/2 sq. triangles.
