The most conducive music to quilt by is the old musicals from our parents' day. Rock-n-roll and quilting don't go together...unless you are FMQ-ing!! or cleaning your sewing room!!

If you're going to applique black onto black with invisible thread, you can never have enough lights on. Don't even think about doing it at night -- better wait till high noon and take the machine out in the yard.

Would you go into a doctor's convention, take the podium, and ask for advice on medical treatment? That's what happens here alot. Don't stop ya'll, I love reading the results.

When you're having a bad sewing day quit and do something else. You're going to have to rip out anything you do that day anyway.

That I love going to classes and being with other quilters, learning from them and sometimes making other items other than quilts is very satisfying and therapeutic.
