Mine also came with a little container ,but this lasts alot longer and I hated running back and forth to the sink to fill it up.I have never had a spilling problem yet.I hope that I never do.

i'm a barber and i wash & rinse the little 8 ounce plastic squeeze bottles that come in perms, or one could buy plastic bottles at wal mart with screw on tops that are pointed.

I have done that also, but the bigger bottles hold more water and you don't have to do so many refills. The little Rowenta that I have uses a lot of water because it is smaller.

I bought a funnel that fit perfectly in the iron and don't spill a drop using a regular water bottle.

I use an old 4 cup plastic measuring cup with a very pointed v spout/lip, works great and you know how much water your adding.

I also use a non dairy creamer bottle. It has a nice little spout and can hold a lot of water.
