    I have used polyester - many times! I just prefer the cotton because it's heavier. Because I have access to so many batting options, I just named my favorite - the warm 'n natural (needle punched cotton). If you only have polyester, then use that!

    You can use worn out towels as well which have worn thin and overstayed their welcome in the bathroom. :)
