I'm amazed that all the basting sprays smell the same to people! I couldn't stand Sullivan's, June Tailor, etc. The only ones I tried that had no offensive odor were Sulky and 505. Still, even with odor, you need to use in a well-ventilated area. Sulky is more environmentally friendly, I think, but 505 is the only one that seems to work well with all battings (including polyester).
Edit: I haven't used the Mettler web, but have seen some Youtube videos about it. I think it would be less messy than the other sprays. Have no idea how it smells, though.

My favorite is 505. I did buy Spray and Bond at Walmart and it did a decent job. Both are low odor. I tried something in a pink can, can't remember the name, that was so smelly and so messy that I threw it away!
