what kind of thread do u use for sewing your blocks?

My fave for piecing and sewing blocks in Connecting Threads, great price. But I only use Superior threads Bottom Line thread in the bobbin, lasts so much longer, not having to rewind bobbins all the time.

I always use Aurifil to quilt, but sometimes use Connecting Threads to piece. My machines all love them both. The CT thread is a bit lintier, but so what??. I just clean out more. I noted that the Coats&Clark spools don't have much on them anymore. I wouldn't be surprised of Aurifil bought on ebay isn't cheaper than the C&C. I'll write down the amounts on a spool next time I'm in Joann.

Right now I'm using up all my different brands of thread to make my scrap quilts. After all of it is gone I will invest in a lot of Aurifil...my 180E Bernina loves it! I am cleaning my machine more frequently, but don't like to see all this thread go to waste.

Hi,
I use only Aurifil thread for all my piecing of quilts. I love it! It seems to last forever and I don't have any issues with it breaking etc.
And, my machine dealer (Babylock) says it's wonderful as it doesn't leave a lot of lint in your machine!

I like the threads by Superior. I use Sew Fine in the top and Bottom Line in the bobbin (athough sometimes I use it in the needle too)and King Tut quilts like a dream.
I will also use Auriful, Gutterman or Mettler sometimes. Depends on what I can find locally.
