I HEAR YOU. MADE A TWIN SIZE QUILT FOR A SILENT AUCTION FOR MY GRANDKIDS SCHOOL. iT WENT FOR $90 DOLLARS. THAT'S LESS THAN THE COST OF MATERIALS. i'M KIND OF BUMMED ON CHARITY QUILTS.
ANOTHER BAD EXAMPLE- MADE MANY QUILTS FOR PREEMIES THEN FOUND THAT THE GROUP I GAVE THEM TO WAS TAKING SOME FOR PERSONAL USE. (OH, MY KITTY WOULD LOVE THAT QUILT!.) I MAKE QUILTS FOR BABIES, NOT FOR CATS!

Talking about jerks - I had quilts on Kijiji and found the only ones responding were scam artists. Go figure

    Sierra, this is for you

Also, I often do quilts that use very large blocks with HSTs. I base the size of any particular subunit on 1/4 of the usable width of the narrowest fabric I am using.
