I personally am buying a Fun Quilter (mid arm) and Hinterberg stretch frame. I have "practiced" on this set up at numerous shows and decided I liked the way it handled and it didn't break my pocketbook!

I would do tons of research on the homequiltingsystems list at http://groups.yahoo.com before investing in a machine/frame combo. Those ladies tell it like it is for their setups!

Major constraints are usually price point and availability of training. If I purchased one of these systems, I would really like to be able to take a class in how to use it.

    Go to MQResource.com. http://mqresource.com/forum/index.php?showforum=35

I hope this link works for you. In the Forums, check out "Quilting machine research". This is a longarm site and everyone has an opinion about their machines. Hope this helps.

If money and space weren't an issue I'd go with at least a 20 inch A1 or Proto Wizard. They're both fabulous machines.

If money wasn't a concern, I'd send all my tops out to be professionally quilted so I'd have more time to make more tops and more space for the phenomenal stash I'd buy!
