What is meant by a "Scant" 1/4" seam?

If you are doing a quilt where all the blocks are the same, then consistent may do it for you. If you are doing a quilt with different blocks, like a sampler, or a mini, you probably want to take the time to figure out where that 'scant' 1/4 is is on your machine with the fabric & thread you are using for your project. Makes piecing SO much nicer when you're not fighting trying to get everything to fit!
