    Love it Rosyhf!

Strip piecing or one by one? If you are doing one by one, remember you can do it as a "leader/ender" project while you finish up the other project. This will be my "leader/ender" project...for a while.

Fraew, I have so many 2.5 squares saved already from other projects so I am doing one by one but speed piecing, now that I have figured out the pattern. I am trying to use as many different patches as I can and I do love working this way. I think I will go ahead and finish the other blocks to complete the major block and then go back to my other quilt until later.

I don't really like to work with smaller patches than 2.5, so every time I have a scrap left, I cut a 2.5 and add it to my supply, so I always have them for something like this. I really enjoy this type of piecing.

It really is a beauty! I don't know what the name of it is, but I would be calling it "Nine by Nine" at the railroad crossing. The main block consists of nine, nine patches. The sashing consists of two nine-patches between the rails. With standard nine patch within a nine-patch for on the corner sashing. Thank you so much for sharing; I just knew there was a good reason for my purchasing a 1 1/2" strip die; I was just waiting to be inspired. You just inspired me...
