Handcraftsbyjen, do you have a pattern for your avatar or where can I get the pattern?

The pattern is on my website and uses the Primitive Pinwheels Tool but could also be done with Lil Twister. See my signature for the web address. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I just signed my sil and I up to do the 1600 quilt at our favorite LQS 35.00 and that included the jelly roll. Seems like all the local shops in our area are doing that one this month

I have made rag rugs on and off from about 15 years. Use a large crochet hook. you can do ovals, hearts and the like by adding and subtracting stitches. You do not have to sew the pieces together. Place fabrics together at the ends and clip a little hole through them. Then hold one piece in your right hand, put fabric in the left hand on top of the little hole matching holes. Then you simply take the left side and poke it through the hole pulling it all the way through until you create a knot. It will crochet easily.

    Default 3-Fabric Quilts

I have had to order at least 8 copies of this book for friends. Every pattern in the book is a winner.

I'm using it to work my way through my stash.
