I will never use folded dahlias in a quilt again. I've done two, but never again.

Can't remember the name but it's a table runner. You sew tubes of fabric of 3 different colors. Then you weave them together and sew on a border. It turned out well but man it used almost 31/2 meters of fabric.

As we don't have to discuss a NEVER, EVER "quilt" and we can say "a garment"...I will NEVER, EVER and I do mean NEVER make an "American Revolution reinactment coat/jacket"

Only the love of a brother got me into this mess one Christmas. The material was so hard to work with, the pattern so incomplete and gussets, fringe, OMG. He LOVED it, WORE it to many events with his muzzleloading rifle, and he did look so handsome, cute, and proud, but NEVER, EVER. I guess I would not make a good pioneer woman.

I will never ever use a hexagon block for a quilt. My grandmother started me on a beggerman's quilt with hexagon blocks. It is in strips but not together yet. Even my mother who was an excellent seamstress refused to finish it for me.

I will make rag quilts again but not with flannel, I will try homespun fabrics for my next one.
I have made special Christmas tree skirts for years. It is a pattern I made up myself. It is huge. It has about 30 oversized Dresden Plate blades in them. I made my last one this Christmas! I do a lot of handwork on them and it takes hours to make. I gave the last one away, I will be trying to come up with an easier pattern. I am very disappointed to hear that flannel from Joanne's can be of low quality. I just bought some flannel and made my first baby quilt with it. I didn't wash it before I made it. I hope when it is washed that it doesn't look bad.
