what is the plastic stuff that you can hang over a quilt top to plan painted accents

the clear overlay Feline described is what I use. I've used Press N' Seal before, but frankly it's difficult for this purpose as it sticks to to many things. And yes, I have had some bleed when using crayola ultra clean eraseable markers and Press N' Seal.
