What quilt block do you hate to make?

I try to stay away from Y seams, if possible. I inherited a Grandmother's flower garden my Mom had started and I've got the "flowers" done and need to sew them with the background, and I have a real hard time getting motivated to work on it.
I don't mind doing the occasional Y seam, but having a quilt that is nothing but Y seams is not something I find that enjoyable.
I use to hate square in a square, until I stopped trying to do them "covered corners" method. Now I cut the inner square to size and sew overisize tirangles to it, then trim that down to the correct size.

The "Rambler" block... it's got geese flying on the diagonal, and the center 4 have to form a perfect square. Nearly impossible for me!

Wow, I'm glad I opened this thread - I thought it was just *me* with those square-in-a-square issues. I thought it would be so easy, and I felt like such a failure! Maybe I'll try my first PP and see if that works for me.

I am not fond of any block that is paper pieced. My brain does not work on a backward way. I really get confused and it doesn't take me too much to get confused any more. Applique is not my favorite either
