I would like to make one of those beautiful Ohio State University quilts that I've seen on Pinterest, etc., but can't seem to find a pattern. I'm not quite brave enough to just start in on one.

I love making the old traditional ones. On my list (that keeps growing) so far are the Irish chain, trip around the world, grandma's garden....

Oh, My! I want to make a rag quilt, a One Block Wonder, and finish my two hexagon quilts - one I started and one I received from my husband's aunt's estate that she had been working on, my Farmer's Wife - more than halfway through, my Cathedral Window - that never seems to end!; and now of course, I MUST do a Storm at Sea. I'm also interested in a Stack and Whack. Like others of you, when I began quilting the others in my guild had mostly done this and were finished doing it. Same with the OBW. What about starting a little group here to do these quilts so we DO have someone to do them with? Maybe one person could be the 'teacher' and the rest of us could follow along? Is this a crazy idea or something that could happen?

I've collected the Lighthouse BOM which are laser cut pieces. I just need to sit down and try one, but I'm so intimidated. Also have all the fabric for a Jenny Doan disappearing four patch. I have a ton of precuts and many other Jenny Doan patterns I will get to someday.

Right now, it's a beautiful poppy fabric kingsize for my youngest daughter...kingsize double wedding for oldest daughter in purples...and then my double wedding ring in Kaufmans Bali Pops in Brown Sugar... this will probably take me the rest of the year to do these three... then who knows, I will just shut my eyes and pick on off my loooooong list...

Storm at Sea out of batiks, Winding Ways, strip quilts with my drawers full of scrap strings, some more flannel ragg quilts for kids, quilts out of recycled shirts (my favorite material!), selvedge quilts and several scrappy patchwork quilts with my 'candy' squares collection.
