Are those the rulers that have channels in them rather than stitching around the edge? I just assumed that they would make the channels wide enough to fit a standard ruler foot- strange if they didn’t. But if not, then those would be the only rulers I know of that wouldn’t be compatible with all the other ruler feet out there.

Rob, yes they have channels. I was tempted once. then I noticed that even the demonstrator on the videos had a hard time using them. the ones I was interested in are smaller and have narrower channels. they sell two sizes of ruler feet.

Rob, they have a "mini" set which takes a smaller 1/4" ruler foot which they also sell, and they have a larger size, which uses the standard size ruler foot like a Westalee. They also have two thicknesses. A 1/8" for low shank machines and 1/4" for taller shank machines and longarms.

I have had the same concerns as you about the ease of use, but just decided last night to give them a try. I ordered the mini set along with the mini foot. I have a feeling I may regret the purchase, but someone needs to be able to give an honest review of them, so I guess I'm it.

Curious to see what you think of them.

I find that the rulers I use the most are my straight edge, several different arc rulers and the Westalee circles on quilts ruler. Those are all ones that are very versatile since they can be used for many different kinds of designs. i also look for rulers that have lots of markings so I can get away with very little marking on my quilt.

All rulers from Creative Grids are Great! There is a coating on the back which keeps the ruler in place. Also there are black and white lines allowing you to work with light or dark fabrics much easier. I would love to replace all of my rulers with Creative Grids but can't justify the expense. Have replaced a couple of them.

Also I have to tell you that the Angela Walters rulers do not work very well with the low shank machine. The ruler is 1/4 inch thick and that will hang up on the machine when you are doing FMQ.
